SES Supplemental Education

SES - Supplemental Educational Services

Supplemental Educational Services (SES) are free tutoring services that are in addition to instruction provided during the school day (i.e., before or after school, on weekends, or during the summer). SES are of high quality, research-based, and specifically designed to increase the academic achievement of eligible children on the state assessment and to assist them in attaining proficiency in meeting the state’s academic achievement standards.

All costs for SES are paid for by the District. If the number of students requesting SES exceeds the amount of money a campus has available for SES, the district and/or campus must give priority to the lowest-achieving students from low-income families and should establish a fair and equitable criteria for identifying these students.

Parents can choose any provider from the state-approved list. These providers are usually found within or near the District. Some providers use e-learning, online or distance learning to tutor.

How to Get SES for your child

Our district has agreed to participate in an SES Pilot program. This Pilot program will allow you the opportunity to enroll your child online at https://www.ezses.org/tx_application. Additionally, your child may enroll himself/herself online with the assistance of a school administrator. Students who enroll online must have the school administrator print and enrollment confirmation page for parent signature and return that page to their campus.
