The Mighty Lion Bands, both Varsity & Non-Varsity Bands participated in The Texas Music Festival Competition in San Antonio, Texas on May 7, 2021 @ The Claudia Taylor Johnson H.S. Auditorium and brought back 1st place trophies in all captions. Texas Bands from Central, East, South, and The Rio Grande Valley Participated. The Adjudicators were amongst the best band directors in the State of Texas and were all extremely impressed with the Mighty Lion Bands. Adjudicators were: Jarrett Lipman, Director of Bands at CT Johnson H.S.-2020 State Marching Contest Champion & 2019 Midwest Clinic Performing Group Kim Rosenberg, Director of Bands at Tex Hill M.S.- Honor Band Finalist 2016, 2021 Midwest Clinic Performing Group Frank Horejsi, Retired Director of Bands at Northside ISD, Judson ISD.
